O site oficial de The World Ends with You the Animation revelou que a série em anime terá 12 episódios que serão lançados posteriormente em 2 volumes DVD/BD.

O estúdio responsável pelo anime será o DOMERICA de Flying Witch Petit e Shinei Animation, já  a direção fica a cargo de Kazuya Ichikawa de Monster Strike the Animation, Clean Freak! Aoyama kun e Tantei Team KZ Jiken Note.

The World Ends with You the Animation é uma adaptação em anime do jogo de RPG com o mesmo nome: The World Ends with You (Subarashiki Kono Sekai) lançado em originalmente em 2007 para Nintendo DS.  Recentemente o gmae também chegou para  iOS, Android e e Switch.
